I want the brand to be:
- Fun and vibrant
- Malleable to changing trends - unsure how at this stage
- Not boring/ dull
- Have elements of colour (possibly that can change)
- Have a strong visual aesthetic that is unique and consistent

Really didn't like these, so steered away from this idea |
IDEA 1:

IDEA 2:

IDEA 3:

Feedback:
- Peers really liked the logotype of Idea 3 as it was different and has visual representations of the space itself
- versatile
- might be too much try simplify it to maybe just the text as the logotype without the extended arms
- colour may be restrictive
- colour really works together
- has a consistency and is a good way of letting visitors find the gallery
- shows aspects of the community with the mirroring text
- Is very clean and basic when stands along, something the others lack - too much going on, this is stripped back and stand-alone
- Idea 2 is too busy, the repetitive type thing is a bit jarring
- is playful but a bit too far
- nice idea with the 'data' and 'tech' theme, but if that is a trend, then it will go out of fashion and therefore isn't sustainable
- could be simplified to just the yellow circle on blue background
- just use it as a development for possibly layout later on
- Idea 1 has a nice flow to it
- They link really well as a series without being so similar
- might be gender specific
- yellow is a happy colour thus is fun and adheres to the trend of primary colours without being so 'in your face'
- the square layout is really successful, and could be simplified by just using black and white and a thin link boxing it it
- could use the idea of layering the text over imagery, but use the logotype from Idea 3 (I like this idea a lot)
To consider:
- Definitely go with the logotype of Idea 3 but expand it into the brand
- Find relevant imagery that is in keeping with current trends - this can be used as season or annual posters that can be changed with the new trends of the current year
- This allows the branding to stay current and consistent
- Go back to Pantone's colour trends and adhere to them, this means the colour will change as well
- can make the overall logotype black for letters and stamps etc to keep some sort of constant branding within the formal aspects of the gallery (business side)
