Existing photo editor aesthetics
I downloaded some existing alternative photo editor apps to look at the market and what is already out there. There is a consistency in stile of how the app should be laid out and delivered.
Black and white act as clear backdrops for the app, and a clean and easily design makes it easy to navigate and pick up quickly- more reliable if kept inline with existing outlets such as Instagram which is widely acknowledged and used.

Filters for editing the photos could be different art styles e.g:
'Pop art'
'Cubist'
'Abstract expressionist'
'Post-Impressionist'
'Dada'
'Surrealism'

CONCEPT:
I decided I wanted to make the app have various features that encompassed the essence of the respectability of the institute whilst playing on popular trends, and incorporating the interactive qualities of art and culture.
1. Artist Info
- what's on
- upcoming exhibitions
- interviews with artists
- about the artists who have exhibited and their work
- artist profiles
2. Editor
- make your own art
- follow trends
- different filters
- drawing - chose brush size / style / spray / pencil etc
- can upload it to a screen in the gallery you're in
3. Map
- map of various Gagosian locations and your closest one with directions
4. 'MyGagosian'
- current trends in art - photo gallery - can save favourite photos (of art and photography)
- pantone - in colours
- articles
- you can check-in to an exhibition when you go and it will be saved here
